I am so appreciative of your Offerings, Jessica! Thank you for your careful mastication and presentation of thoughts and feelings that, I feel, "the world/society" asks us to just swallow as quickly as possible, to get it out of their sight. Grief and sadness and disorientation are unsavory and I feel that we are asked to hide our experiences with it so as not to be disruptive. So thank you for putting light onto it and curiosity too. I learn so much from your newsletters. 🫀

Since you know a little about me I probably don't need to tell you that your work, especially since 2023, has been so comforting to me. I can directly attribute your teachings to a completely different take on my current life and even a new perspective on past lives. It took me about a half hour to get through this post because I thought you might be ending Offerings. So glad you're continuing on!

I am grateful for the transition Offerings will be making, and has probably naturally been making over time as you've been writing, Jessica. I am also looking forward to observing how carving out this specific area of thinking and noticing grief as a culture-building experience will open up new areas you'll explore in the years come forward. It's been a really grief-heavy year for myself, as I've shared in the tarot reflection groups, and your gentleness and thoughtful way of observing grief has made been one of the many key components in processing. Truly, the tarot reflection space has been that culture building experience in real time. Thank you for all you do, what you work towards sharing with us in writing, and for being a consistent presence in my inbox.

I've thought about takingJill Freedman And Gene Combs course years ago when I first got into narrative therapy work--do you recommend it to the interested clinician?

I have really appreciated your focus on grief and mourning and it has mirrored so much of my own personal explorations/curiosities over the last couple of years. So grateful you are willing to share your process and learning!

I’ve valued your work immensely helpful. It activates ways of knowing and seeing that then carries over into my own work - inner and outer. Not just what you say but about how you do. It’s a beautiful thing to bear witness to a transformation carried out with such grace humility and honesty. Thanks Jessica, I’ll be hanging about.

I’m so excited you’re doing this work in the world, and about the place that those explorations have brought you too. Grief has felt like the constant tenor of my life after a few big losses in 2020 and it’s been so helpful to have a space that is intellectually grappling with what that can mean.

I have been reading Offerings for several years. I noticed the change. I am a therapist and have recently used quotes from you in helping her deal with her grief. It has been helpful to her. I miss the readings about the Tarot but I read your writings about grief more thoroughly than about the Tarot. What you write now is more clear and practical.

Your writings on loss and mourning have been instrumental to me finally facing it this year after a sudden, tragic death. It gave me context and courage to adjust my therapy goals. I re-read your writings and explore all the references. Thank you for this gift- it means more than you know.
